AWS launches Graviton5: Its most powerful custom CPU for EC2

The new Graviton5 chip powers Amazon EC2 M9g instances, offering up to 25 % better performance and greater efficiency, a major boost for high-demand cloud workloads.

AWS has unveiled Graviton5, its latest- generation custom processor designed for cloud l computing on EC2. The chip comes with 192 cores, a 5 × larger L3 cache, brisk memory and bettered inter-core communication.

According to AWS, EC2 cases powered by Graviton5 starting with M9g( general purpose) deliver up to 25% more advanced compute performance than the previous generation. Graviton5 also offers enhanced network and storage bandwidth, reduced latency, and energy-effective design built on a 3 nm process.

For companies running compute-intensive tasks similar as big- data analytics, large- scale databases, real- time gaming, or EDA workloads Graviton5 can significantly reduce runtime and operating costs while perfecting performance. The effective earnings also help in reducing energy consumption.
